What is Okta?

Okta connects any person with any application on any device. Once logged in, a user can launch any application with a single click and be automatically logged in without having to re-enter credentials into various applications. Furthermore, users can customize their self-service dashboard to add applications that meet their needs and remain productive by eliminating the need to sign in to each application.

What does Okta Offer?

Okta is an enterprise-grade, identity management service for cloud and on-premises applications. With Okta, IT (Information Technology) can manage any employee’s access to any application or device. Okta features include Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), Universal Directory, Lifecycle management and policies for the organization to leverage security and control. 

  • SSO: One central control point, identity store integration 
  • MFA: Okta allows various multi-factor authenticators 
    •  Duo Security, Okta Verify, Google Authenticator, Authy, and Biometrics 
  • Universal Directory: Streamlined password management, consistent user management 
  • Lifecycle Management: Seamless onboarding and offboarding, auditing and compliance, automated access management using various workflows. ​
