Okta | Install Okta Browser Plugin

When to Use?

The Okta Browser Plugin is easy to use optional feature. Once you log into Okta you will be prompted to install the Okta Browser Plugin extension to your browser. This was made to make navigating your apps easy and simple. Instead of having to save/bookmark pages or keep multiple tabs open, everything is conveniently located under the Okta Browser Plugin. 

Procedure

Step 1. Click Install

Installation instructions for various browsers is available on Okta's website.

Alternatively, log in to Okta, in the dashboard on your home page you will see the Okta Browser Plugin install option, click install.

Step 2. Click "Get" in the Right Corner

Step 3.  Click "Add extension"

Step 4. Pop Up Appears

You will see a prompt for you to sign in to your Okta account.

Step 5. Go to my.gvsu.edu for sign in

Step 6. Select your GVSU account

Note: If you have an admin account, you will have more than one option.

Step 7. Okta Shortcut

Okta Browser Plugin shows you a shortcut for easy access.

Step 8. Complete

Once you view your easy access shortcut, your Okta Browser Plugin dashboard appears.
