When to Use?
I cannot begin a test because I'm being prompted for a password.
Procedure
For Blackboard Ultra and the latest version of LockDown Browser, an "Exam password" is only required if the instructor set up the test with a password, otherwise the test should start without any additional prompts once you start your test attempt. You can install GVSU's version of Lockdown Browser from the GVSU download site.
If you are being prompted for a password and the instructor does not require one, your computer may be having difficulty connecting to the Respondus server. Please use the following steps to try and resolve this issue.
- Shut down your computer system and then turn it back on.
- Close any applications that may have opened during start-up.
- Make sure that you are connected to the Internet using a high bandwidth wired or wireless network connection.
- Launch a standard browser, log in to Blackboard to access your course. Navigate to the exam and start your attempt.
- Lockdown Browser should launch and allow you to begin the test.
