Troubleshooting - Why am I Getting an Error on Panopto Capture After Going into Student Preview Mode in Blackboard?

Procedure

1. An error occurs in Panopto Capture due to the user accessing "student preview mode" in Blackboard while recording, which will log you out of your faculty Panopto account. If you are using student preview mode, it is recommended you open a separate incognito mode browser for demonstration purposes in the video, while keeping the Panopto Recorder on your main window. Using an incognito mode for demonstrating something in Blackboard's student preview will not sign you our of Panopto.

2. If you are still experiencing the issue, you should clear your browser cache and fully quit out of the browser. Refer to the knowledge base article on How to Clear Browser Cache. After doing this, follow the process in step 1 to complete the recording.

It is also recommended to ensure that your web browser is up to date. Updates are typically available within the Help or Preferences section of your browser.
