Copying Deployed Tests from Classic into Ultra

When to Use?

This article will walk you through copying deployed tests from a Classic course into an Ultra Course using the Course Copy option in an Ultra course. Only supported question types and settings will be copied. View the following Blackboard article for a full list of supported question types: Question Types.

Procedure

1. Navigate to lms.gvsu.edu

2. Click the Courses tab. Navigate to the Ultra course you want the copied test to go

3. Go to your course's Content tab and do one of two options:

a. Click on the ellipsis (…) to the right of Course Content.

b. Click the plus icon (+) inside the relevant course content area.

4. Select Copy Content from either content list. You will be redirected to the Copy Content panel.

5. In the Copy Content panel, all your courses & organizations appear under the Your Courses and Organizations list. You can use the search to find courses by name or course ID.

6. Once you have located the Blackboard Classic course you want to copy the test from, drill down into the course's content by clicking the arrow to the right. The folders will correlate with the top-level navigation menu items from the Blackboard Classic course.

7. Continue clicking the arrow to drill down into the content and locate the test.

8. Select the box next to each test you want to copy. Your selected items will appear in the panel to the right.

9. After you finalize your selections, select Start Copy, and the copy action begins.

10. A success message appears when the copy is completed. Once completed, the copied content will appear within the course.

Note: The Copying wheel will spin for 30 seconds to a minute before it confirms your copy. But if you refresh your page, the content will already be copied into the course.

Note: Content not copied into a particular content area will appear at the very bottom of the course.
