Virtual Machine Request

Description

Faculty members requiring a virtual machine (VM) for research or instructional purposes may request one through this service. 

Requests will be evaluated on the available resources vs what is requested and whether the VM will fit within the parameters of existing infrastructure. 

Questions you will be asked are:

1. What specs will you need? (RAM, CPU, etc.)
2. What OS is needed? (Windows or Linux)
3. Who needs access to it?
4. How long do you need it for?
5. Is this VM for Research or Instructional purposes?
6. What software will need to be on it?
   1. Do you have licenses for the software if it is not already site licensed by GVSU?

Eligibility

All GVSU faculty can request a VM.
