When to Use?
Integrate Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor to lock down & automatically proctor assessments securely in a Blackboard Ultra course. You can deliver assessments (i.e., Assignments and Tests) with Respondus to ensure students aren’t influenced by external sources when drafting and submitting attempts.
The LockDown Browser Dashboard records its own data for each individual assessment attempt. The Dashboard provides Class Results and Exam Stats for each assessment which includes score trends, average duration, video recording from sessions, etc.
Procedure
Accessing LockDown Browser Dashboard
The Dashboard lists all assessments that are currently set up within your course and gives you the ability to enable LockDown Browser and Monitor for each.
1. Navigate to your Blackboard Ultra course.
2. Within your course, look for the Details and Actions panel located on the left.
3. Select Books & Tools.
4. Scroll through the list of tools and select Respondus.
5. You will be redirected to the Dashboard.
Viewing Class Results
If students were required to use Respondus Monitor (i.e., webcam feature) with the assessment, instructors can access information about the assessment sessions and can review the recorded videos.
NOTE: Respondus Monitor is intended to be a deterrent, so it’s up to the instructor to determine the level of review warranted.
1. From within the Dashboard, locate the assessment and click on the downward arrow next to the title, and select Class Results from the context menu.
NOTE: Videos that have Responds Monitor enabled will have a green “Respondus Monitor” under the Proctoring column.
2. Class Results provides a roster of students in the course along with the date time, duration, review priority, and grade for the assessment attempt.
3. To view further details for each individual student, click the [ + ] to expand the section.
4. Details of the start-up sequence and the assessment session are shown in the thumbnails. Click on the thumbnail to view the image or video from the time indicated. Videos can be marked as Reviewed or have comments added by the instructor.
