Connecting to GV-Visitor
Mac
To connect click the Wi-Fi icon (found near the upper-right corner of the screen). Select GV-Visitor.
If you receive a “Verify Certificate” prompt, click Continue.
Windows
Click the wireless network icon in the lower-right corner of your screen. Select "GV-Visitor" and click "Connect."
You will be prompted to Accept the Usage Policy Notice. Once accepted, the connection will be successful, and you may now browse the internet.
If you receive a “Network Security Alert” click Connect.
Troubleshooting
Mac
If the Wi-Fi icon is not on the menu bar, open System Preferences and click “Network."
Select Wi-Fi in the services list and check the box “Show Wi-Fi status in the menu bar.”

Forgetting GV-Visitor Wi-Fi
In System Preferences click "Network." Verify that ‘Wi-Fi’ is selected in blue on the left and click "Advanced" in the bottom right.

In the Wi-Fi pane, click on the GV-Faculty-Staff network so it is highlighted in blue. Click the minus button at the bottom to remove the network.

Click "OK" and then ‘"Apply" to return to System Preferences. The device can now reconnect to the network.
Windows
If your computer does not find any wireless networks:
If your computer has a wireless switch on the front or side, make sure the switch is turned on. Some laptop models also use a function key combination to turn wireless connections on and off.
Verify that airplane mode is off in Settings > Network & Internet.

Forgetting GV-Visitor on Windows PC:
Open Settings and go to “Network & Internet.” Select “Wi-Fi” in the menu on the left-hand side and choose “Manage known networks.”

Click “GV-Visitor” and choose “Forget.”

Reconnect by clicking the "Connect" button.
Still unable to connect to GV-Visitor?
- Verify that the device is trying to connect to the correct network.
- Restart your device and try re-entering your credentials.
- GVSU Macs may forget the GV-Faculty-Staff network, but GVSU Windows computer cannot.
- If it is still not working try resetting your password, then try to connect again.
