Accessing Learning Lab

When to Use

Some course will have access to persistent VMs and this article will show you how to access those VMs.

Procedure

1. Go to https://my.gvsu.edu/
2. You will see a tile called “Learning Lab”
3. This will open up another tab and take you to a new screen that will look like this:
4. If your course has access to VMs you will see a course on the left for you to click on.
5. Click on that course and you will see a drop down list appear. From there you can click on drop down item and a new window will pop up.
6. From here you will see a row of buttons at the top. You will need to Provision the VMs first which will make the VMs available for you.
7. Once they are provisioned you should see a button next to the VM that allows you to connect to it.
   1. If you don’t see the connect button you may need to use the power button to turn them on first.
   2. If the VMs do not load you may also need to reset the VM. To Reset the VM you just need to click on the Reset button at the top and then type in the name of the VM. After doing so you can try and connect to the VM again. If it still does not work please put in a ARC Help ticket to the ARC team.
