Overview
Dell Command Update is a tool that helps keep your Dell computer up to date by installing the latest drivers, firmware, and critical updates. This guide will walk you through using the tool to check for and install updates on your Dell computer.
Steps to Run Dell Command Update
1. Open Dell Command Update
- Click the Start Menu (Windows icon in the bottom-left corner).
- Type Dell Command Update in the search bar and select it from the results.

2. Check for Updates
- When the application opens, click Check for Updates.
- The tool will scan your computer for available updates. This may take a few minutes.

3. Review and Install Updates
- Once the scan is complete, you will see a list of available updates.
- Click Install Updates to begin the update process.
- Some updates, especially firmware updates, require your computer to be plugged into a power source to complete successfully.
- Your computer may restart during this process, so save any work before proceeding.

4. Restart Your Computer (If Required)
- If prompted, click Restart Now to complete the installation.
- Your computer will reboot, and the updates will be applied.
5. Verify Updates
- After restarting, open Dell Command Update again.
- Click Check for Updates to confirm that all updates have been installed.
- If no updates are found, your system is up to date!
