When to Use?
This article contains EAC Visual Data release notes for bug fixes and enhancements that have been applied to GVSU's Blackboard Learn Ultra learning management system (LMS).
EAC Visual Data Software Update - January 2026
Bug Fix #1: New Page Break for Ultra Exams - Prior to this release, EAC treated the new Ultra exam "Page Break" as an independent test question. EAC now discards all "Page Breaks" and they should no longer affect EAC test reports.
Bug Fix #2: Zero Point Test Questions - Some instructors create zero point test questions for use in exams. For example, a question asks students to agree to an academic integrity pledge which doesn’t affect student grades. Prior to this release, EAC could not handle zero point test questions when calculating overall exam statistics, because zero point test questions create a "Divide by Zero" scenario. EAC now discards zero point test questions from its test statistic calculations.
Bug Fix #3: Ultra Rubric Copy Issue - Occasionally, when Ultra Rubrics are copied, HTML tags and white space will be added or deleted in the database to or from copied rubric rows. Prior to this release, the resulting differences in characters among rubric rows affected EAC's rubric aggregation algorithm. In this release, EAC more robustly strips rubric rows of HTML tags and white space to improve the efficacy of its rubric aggregation functionality.
Bug Fix #4: Goal Report Side Navigation Links (e.g., Goal, Assessment, Course, etc.) - In the previous version of EAC, Goal Report side navigation links were inadvertently disabled. In this release, side navigation links are re-enabled.
Bug Fix #5: Frozen Scroll bar - Prior to this release, in many of the on-screen grids (i.e., Data Tables), if a user scrolled all the way to the right hand side of the grid, the scroll bar would freeze. In this release, the frozen scroll bar issue is fixed.
Enhancement #1: Preparations Toward a “Lightweight Building Block” - In a soon-to-come future release, EAC will launch as an LTI 1.3 application and integration that will allow for continuous delivery of bug fixes and enhancements without the need for Building Block updates. This release includes foundational preparations toward this “lightweight building block.”
Enhancement #2: Disable Scroll-to-the-Top Reset on Goal Alignment in Goals Manager - Prior to this release, a Goal Alignment on Goals Manager for Test and Rubric Reports caused the Blueprint area to scroll to the top, which impacted user experience when there were numerous test questions and/or rubric rows. In this release, this scroll-to-the-top behavior post-goal alignment has been disabled.
Enhancement #3: Review Comparison in Rubric Reports - Prior to this release, there was no automatically generated report that compared scores among multiple reviewers for the same Rubric. EAC now provides a first generation Reviewer comparison report. The report can be accessed in the report's navigation menu.

A data table shows for each rubric row, each reviewers Average Score, a Standard Deviation, and the Number of Rows Scored. A horizontal bar chart compares average scores among Reviewers for each Rubric Row.

Bug Fix #1: Goals Filter Option - In the Rubrics and Tests Goals Manager, the goals filter option has been updated to sort the goals more accurately.

Enhancement #1: Overall Feedback Comments - EAC now captures any comments that faculty enter into the Overall Feedback column of a scored Blackboard Ultra Rubric.

When running an EAC Rubric Report, the feedback will be displayed at the very end of the Student Landscape table.
