When to Use?
When a website fails to load with a connection error similar to those displayed below while at the same time, the website loads on devices not connected to GVSU's network. Below are three examples from various browsers indicating a potential issue as a result of network traffic being blocked by a GVSU security appliance.

Procedure
GVSU employs a security appliance called Threater which blocks network traffic from known malicious sources. An attempt to access a website blocked by Threater will result in an error related to connection issues as shown in the images above. If you feel a classification error was made and/or there a legitimate reason to access a blocked website, please submit a service request to the IT Security Team in the Service Portal for review.
