When to Use?

When you are migrating from LastPass to 1Password. Shared vaults from LastPass will be imported as personal vaults in 1Password for those who are administrators of the vault in Lastpass. Other users will need access given back to them by the administrator importing the passwords. Procedure

The most secure way to transfer your passwords is through the 1Password desktop app.

  1. In windows, open the desktop app and click options in the top left and select Import. On Mac open the app; from the menu bar, choose File > Import.

  2. Click Import, this will open a window will prompt you for the email address used in LastPass. Enter your password and select "Next" on the bottom right of the window.

  3. The window will change and ask for your password. Once the password is entered you will be able to continue the import process.
     
  4. You will receive an MFA prompt from LastPass. Once MFA has been approved, the rest of the process is automated.

    If you do not receive a prompt, you will want to make sure duo is enabled for your LastPass account.
