Utilizing the GVSU JetBrains PyCharm License
This article is intended for individuals who wish to use PyCharm from JetBrains on the GVSU university license. This license includes the professional edition of PyCharm.
Procedure
JetBrains Account Setup
Licensing is granted to all individuals that create accounts using a GVSU email address (gvsu.edu and mail.gvsu.edu).
If you already have a GVSU JetBrains account, you can use that, otherwise create an account using your GVSU email address.
Once you have an account ready, download the PyCharm Professional version.
Accessing Licensing
To utilize the license, after completing the setup of PyCharm Professional, launch the program. It will then prompt you for a license:
Select the radio button titled "License server" and then input "https://gvsu-edu.fls.jetbrains.com" and activate.
PyCharm Professional may request authorization to activate. This opens a webpage which will require you to authorize the activation:
Simply accept the prompt and then return to the PyCharm Professional. It should now show 
After returning to PyCharm Professional, the software is activated and users can select "Continue".
