Shared Public Folders (Notices GVSU Business, Pew Campus, Barter Board, Etc.) - No Longer Exists in Updated Outlook 365

Symptom

After being updated from Outlook 2019 to the new service using Outlook 365; the Public Folders are not available.

Finding potential alternatives for some of those folders is being researched.

Detail Description

1. In upgrading Outlook to Exchange 365, the following Public Folders will no longer be available:
   • Barter Board
   • Information Technology
   • Notices GVSU Business
   • Office-Space-Limit-Alerts
   • Pew Campus
   • Transportation
2. Replacement functionality of most of folders is being investigated for future use.
3. The Barter Board folder will NOT be restored and has been retired on the new server.
4. The Public Folders were discontinued for both security and technical reasons.
