How to Log Off and Disable Skype for Business (Microsoft Windows)

When to Use?

GVSU's Skype for Business installation will be turned off in June 2022. This guide shows how to log off from the Skype for Business application and disable it from automatically starting on Microsoft Windows.

Procedure

1. While logged into Skype for Business, open the Options window by selecting the cog from the main screen.
   
2. Select Personal on the left-hand side of the "Skype for Business – Options" window. Uncheck Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows. Select OK to save your choice. The "Skype for Business – Options" window will close.
   
3. To log off from Skype for Business, select the presence menu from the main screen. Then select "Sign Out." 
   
4. Close the Skype for Business window.
