Plug types for various video interfaces

xAdditional connector types for video devices

  • First off you need to know what video ports are available on the monitor itself.
They will most likely be on the back of the monitor, on the bottom.
Some devices like TVs often have ports on one of the sides.
  • Next you need to found out what video ports you have available on the device you want to connect the monitor to, such as a computer or docking station.
  • Once you know what video ports are available on both the devices, it can be determined what cable/adapter will be needed to connect these two devices together.
