When to Use?
If you try to access the calendar within Microsoft Teams with a student account, you'll likely be greeted with this message:
Teams is unable to access your Calendar

Students will see this message because they are assigned Gmail accounts, and do not have Outlook with their Microsoft 365 accounts.
Procedure
If you'd like to schedule a meeting using Microsoft Teams, you can use the Microsoft Teams meeting add-on for Google Workspace. GVSU IT has already made this add-on available in your GVSU Google account.
In your GVSU Google Calendar:
- Click an available time that you want to make your meeting
- At the new event window, click Add Google Meet video conferencing
- Change the selection to Microsoft Teams Meeting
- You may need to click Log in to connect your GVSU Microsoft account to the add-in
- Add in your additional meeting details (Title, Guests, etc.) and Save
