Open Another Mailbox Using Outlook On The Web

When to Use

If you would like to open a shared mailbox in a separate browser window from your own, or you need to modify mailbox or calendar permissions for other colleagues, a shared mailbox in Outlook on the web will ensure a similar experience between different device types.

Procedure

  1. In your web browser, open Outlook on the web and sign in with your @gvsu.edu account
  2. Once logged in, click on your initials or profile picture in the top right corner
  3. Click Open another mailbox

  4. Enter the address of the mailbox you’d have access to and would like to open
  5. Click Open|

  6. The other mailbox will open in a new tab. You can identify the different mailbox with its email address shown near the top left. Note: Syncing the mailbox may take some time depending on the size of the mailbox.
