Resetting Faculty/Staff Password via Outlook

When to Use?

This is to be used when a faculty/staff account needs a password reset but the account is unable to do so via our Password Reset Website (gvsu.edu/passwordreset). This ensures that the member can go through with resetting their password before it expires without any issues.

Procedure

  1. Head to the website outlook.office.com/mail and sign in using your GVSU credentials.
    • NOTE: If you are unable to sign into outlook.office.com/mail, please call the IT Service Desk at 616-331-2101 for further assistance.

  2. On the top right of the screen, click on the icon that has your initials or your display picture.

  1. Select View account.

  1. Under Password, click CHANGE PASSWORD

  1. Fill in the Current password, New password, and Confirm new password fields. Click Submit
