When to Use?
You can create a rubric, associate it with an assessment, journal, or discussion, and then use it for grading.
Procedure
You can associate rubrics with these types of gradable content in your Blackboard course:
- Assignments
- Discussions
- Journals
- Tests
NOTE: You can't add a rubric to an assessment that includes one of Blackboard’s built-in question types.
- On the assignment or test page, select the Settings icon to open the Settings panel.
- For Discussions and Journals, you must first enable grading before you can associate a rubric.
- In the Additional Tools section, select Add grading rubric.
NOTE: You may associate only one rubric to each assessment or discussion.
- The course Rubrics panel will open. Select View to open the rubric for review.
- Your rubric can be percentage-based or point-based. For point-based rubrics, select the check box to assign the rubric's possible points to the maximum points of the content. If you leave this option unchecked, your rubric template won't be modified but its values will auto-adjust when grading to match the maximum points of the content.
- Select the Add icon to associate the rubric with the assessment.
- When you are finished editing the assessment settings, select the Save button.
