Using WASH Connect

Once signed up for WASH Connect, there are a few different functions that users can utilize. The main two tabs that residents will use are the “Availability” tab and the “Support” tab.

Once you have registered, the app shows in a list which washers are available and in use, as well as how many minutes are remaining.  If a machine needs maintenance, there is a screen in the app under Support where you can notify them that the machine is not working, app is not working, or request a refund.

Availability

After selecting the Availability tab, you can use the drop-down menu at the top to select your building. Note: If you pause while scrolling through the list of buildings, the drop-down menu may close. Simply reopen it and continue scrolling. From here, residents can view in real-time which laundry machines are in use as well as the time remaining on each machine.

Support

The Support tab allows residents to report laundry machines that are not functioning properly. You can also use this section if you experience issues with the WASH Connect app.

FAQs

I noticed the laundry machines now have card readers on them, does laundry require payment now?

No, laundry is still free to use on campus. The card readers connect to the app which allows it to display machine availability.

I noticed my balance on the app is $0.00. Should I be concerned about this?

No. The balance does not apply to students since laundry on campus is free.

Do I need to be connected to campus Wi-Fi?

No. Once your account is set up, you can check machine availability from anywhere using Wi-Fi or cellular data.

Can I receive notifications when my laundry is done?

As of now, this function is not available.
