When to Use?
When installing Vivenu on a multi-user office image computer.
Procedure
Installing Vivenu POS on a multi-user machine is a pretty simple process, though having it work on each user profile requires some extra steps. To ensure anyone who signs into the multi-user machine is able to access Vivenu POS, please follow these steps:
1. Request administrator access to the computer. To obtain administrator access, please follow the steps located in this knowledge document.
Note: Make sure to select shared/multi-user Windows 11 computer when requesting access.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Download a fresh copy of Vivenu POS here: (reach out to Evan Richie)
4. Click the File Explorer icon.

5. Click the Downloads folder.

6. Double-click vivenu-POS-3.2.8.

Note: The application will automatically install and close itself. After the installation has finished, the application will start automatically.
7. You will now need to close the application. There may be a few pop-up windows that need to be closed before the main application can be closed. First, on the No compatible receipt printer selected window, click the OK button.

8. Then, on the No compatible ticket printer selected window, click the OK button.

9. On the main Vivenu POS application window, click File.

10. Click Exit.

11. Now that the application is closed, press and hold the Windows key, then press the R key. You may then release both keys.

12. In the Run window that has now appeared, type: C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Programs\ and click the OK button.

13. File Explorer will open a new window showing this:

You will need to move this vivenu-POS folder to a different location on the hard drive. To do this, select the other file explorer window which currently has the Downloads folder open. Scroll down on the left-side navigation menu and click This PC.

14. Double-click Windows (C:).

15. Now that both correct locations have been opened, left-click and hold on the vivenu-POS folder shown in the File Explorer window from step 13. Move your mouse over to a blank space on the Windows (C:) File Explorer window and release the left mouse button. This will drag and drop the folder into the C drive. You may now close the C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Programs\ File Explorer window.

16. Double-click the vivenu-POS folder to open it.

17. Scroll down in the folder to locate vivenu-Pos. Right-click vivenu-POS, in the menu that opens, click Show more options.

18. Click Create shortcut.

19. Press and hold the Windows key, then press the R key. You may then release both keys again.

20. In the Run window, type: C:\Users\Public\Desktop.

21. Back in the vivenu-POS File Explorer window, left click and hold on the vivenu-POS - Shortcut. Move your mouse over to a blank space on the C:\Users\Public\Desktop File Explorer window and release the left mouse button. This will drag and drop the shortcut to the public desktop folder.

22. On the Destination Folder Access Denied pop-up window, click the OK button.

The application has now been installed for all users on the multi-user computer. A desktop shortcut for Vivenu POS has also been created.
