Description
- Report anything unusual. If you experience something unexpected which sets off a warning in your mind, it may be a security issue. Don't ignore it...When in doubt always report!
- Immediately report suspected security incidents to your supervisor and to the GVSU Information Security Team. Be sure to indicate whether sensitive information may be at risk.
- If you think your computer has been compromised, or someone may be accessing your computer remotely, it is best if you unplug the network cable (turn off wireless if not connected with a network cable) and leave the computer powered on.
- If you believe your account has been compromised or believe it has been accessed from an unexpected location. Notify the Information Security Team as soon as possible.
- If you believe a website may be misclassified as malicious. Notify the Information Security Team to review the site in question - please include the website URL as well as the time/date of the block.
