Direct Access


Direct Access is used by Office Domain (Faculty/Staff) users that have a GVSU provisioned and issued Windows 10 machine (direct access is installed during the provisioning/imaging of the machine).

This system detects whether or not the machine is on campus or off campus.
If the machine is off campus, Direct Access activates and creates a vpn-like secure connection to the GVSU network.


This service is available to all Faculty and Staff with a GVSU-owned Windows 10 machine. 

How to Access and Use

You can report an issue connecting via Direct Access by filling out the form when you click on the "Submit a Ticket" button on this page.

Hint:  Try doing a restart (not a full shut down) of Windows. Then wait a few moments after startup to allow the connection to take place.
