Housing Options:
Allendale options include 2-bed/2-person and 4-bed/4-person apartment units in South Apartments.
Downtown options include:
- Winter 1-person efficiency
- Winter 2-person efficiency
- Secchia 1-bedroom apartment
- Secchia 2-bedroom apartment
- Secchia 3-bedroom apartment
- Secchia 4-bedroom apartment
Priority placement for the Downtown community is given to Winter 2027 and Fall 2027 occupants of that community. Students residing in Allendale or off campus during those terms will only be placed downtown if space is available and they are living on-campus for the following term. If space downtown is unavailable, placement will be made in an Allendale apartment.
Housing Assignments:
1st 6- and 12-week placement begins in mid to late April. Placement information will be available on the myHousing portal. 2nd 6-week assignments may not be available until early June depending on availability.
Although Summer's overall occupancy is much lower than during Fall and Winter semesters, frequent changes are common due to the extra complexity of placements and a very tight turnaround between semesters. Don't be surprised if your assignment changes at least once before you move in!
Housing staff work to minimize moves of residents continuing to live on campus for the following Fall term. Summer placements prioritize the resident's Fall placement first, then Winter semester placement. Summer placement will be made to match Fall 2027 placement whenever possible. For example: The Fall 2027 resident of South E 205 will get priority placement for that apartment when assignments are made for Summer.
