• This article describes the steps to opt into texts from GVSU Housing and Residence Life via the myHousing portal
How texts are used
• Why might GVSU Housing and Residence Life send a text? Examples include: Housing status updates, emergency situations like snow removal requiring vehicles to be moved, reminders about cold temperatures and closing windows, important reminders about contract renewals, etc.
How to opt into texting
- Log into your myHousing portal via Banner
- Access the Personal Information Menu --> My Info and update your texting preference there. See below. This preference may be changed at any time by returning to your portal and updating your selection.
