Zoom Quick Guide: Focus Mode & Multiple Screen Sharing

Summary

Use Focus Mode to reduce distractions and limit what participants can see, which is best for classes or exams. Use Multiple Screen Sharing when you want participants to share and view multiple screens at once for group work or support sessions.

Body

When to Use

Use Focus Mode to reduce distractions and protect privacy. In this mode, participants only see the host, co-hosts, and their own video. They do not see other participants. This works well for classes, exams, or meetings where you want to limit what others can see.

Use All Screens Mode to view all participants' shared desktops and video feeds simultaneously in a scrollable, side-by-side view, facilitating real-time monitoring of, for example, students during an exam.
