This article will show you how to get a free student license for JAWS/FUSION/ZOOM Text and how to install it as well.

Step 1: Register for an Account

1. Go to the Freedom Scientific Sponsored Software portal:
   https://portal.freedomscientific.com/SponsoredSoftware
2. Enter your student email address
   (example: username@mail.gvsu.edu)
3. Click “Continue to registration.”
   
4. Complete the registration form:
   • Fill in your personal information.
   • Create a password.
5. Click “Register.”
6. Check your email for a confirmation message.
7. Open the email and click “Confirm your portal account here” to verify your account.

Step 2: Sign In and Select Software

1. Sign in to the portal using your newly created account.
2. Once logged in, you will see the product selection screen.
    
3. Choose the product you want to install.
   (example used in this guide: Fusion)
   
    

Step 3: Activate and Download

1. Click “Activate this computer.”
2. Select your chosen product (e.g., Fusion), then click OK.
3. A file will automatically download to your computer.

Step 4: Install the Software

1. Open the downloaded file.
2. Select “Yes, Install and Activate.”
3. If prompted, click Yes to allow the program to make changes to your computer.
4. Accept the license agreement by checking the box.
    
5. Click Install.

Step 5: Complete Installation

1. Once the installation finishes, click Close.
2. When prompted, click Yes to restart your computer.
3. After restarting, the application will open automatically.

Step 6: Sign In to the Application

1. Sign in using:
   • Your student email.
   • The password you created during registration.

Notes

• Make sure to use your student email address when registering and signing in.
• You must verify your email before you can access and activate software.
• Restarting your computer is required to complete the installation.
