Your OneDrive Is Out of Storage Space

When to Use?

Use this knowledge base article to free up space in OneDrive.

Active and enrolled students, full-time employees, and adjunct faculty are granted a Microsoft A5 license, which includes 1 TB of storage in OneDrive.

Community members without an active contract with GVSU are assigned a Microsoft A1 license, which includes 100 GB of storage.

Procedure

1. Log in to Microsoft OneDrive via a web browser or access it from your local computer.
2. Navigate to the "Backup Private Data" folder, and then the "My Data" folder.
3. In this location, locate the "My Documents" folder and delete it. 

Note: This folder is a secondary copy of your local "My Documents" folder and deleting it will help reduce the space used in your personal OneDrive.
