When to Use?
The "SSInvitationAgent Error" typically appears during the start up or launch phase of Respondus LockDown Browser and will prevent a user from starting the application on their Apple - Mac computer or device.
Procedure
To resolve this error the "SSInvitationAgent" process must be stopped in the in the Activity Monitor.
- Close LockDown Browser.
- Verify you are signed out and have closed Apple Messages (iMessage) and other messaging apps.
- Go to Finder > Applications > Utilities and start the Activity Monitor.
- Click on the CPU tab, click on the Process Name column to sort the list.
- Locate both the SSInvitationAgent and SSMenuAgent processes.
- Highlight each process and click the Stop button.
- You may need to select Force Quit more than once before the process will stop.
