Ivanti VPN Authentication Change

Summary

VPN authentication change from DUO to Central Authentication Service.

What is Changing?

Starting Monday May 13, 2024, at 8:00 AM the Ivanti VPN authentication will be redirect to Central Authentication Service for username and password verification. 

 

OLD Process

The old way prompted for credentials only. There was no secondary verification of account and password. 

 

 

New Process

The new process will use the GVSU Central Authentication Service. When user clicks on the Ivanti VPN client connection, the user will be redirected to the Central Authentication Service. Users will be prompted to select their identity verification method that they setup.

 

Click on connect to start VPN connection.

Central Authentication Service window will prompt for account name.  Enter GV account name.

Enter your account password.

Select the method you had chosen to use for identity verification. Below picture is example if you selected Okta for your identity verification.

Client should now show connected.
