When to Use?
If you would like your students to view each other’s videos for peer review/feedback, you will need to set up a discussion topic for students to post to. This article will walk you through the steps of creating a discussion area for your students to submit to.
This article is meant for instructors. If you are looking for information on how to use Panopto as a student, please refer to out Student Panopto Knowledge Base.
Procedure
1. Go to your course's Discussions tab.
2. Click the ‘New Discussion’ button on the top right.
3. Create the discussion topic the same way you would any other assignment in Blackboard Ultra (More information on Creating Discussion Forums in Blackboard Ultra can be found here).
4. Feel free to share this KB article with students so they can easily find the tutorial for posting a Panopto Video to the Discussion Forum. You can also share this link to submit a help ticket with GVSU's Panopto support team if they are experiencing technical difficulties.
5. Ensure that the discussion is visible to students.
6. Students can now go to the Discussion Forum and embed their Panopto video for a submission attempt.
